Twisters attend Midnight Madness 

Twisters U-12 Division 1 Soccer team attends The Mandeville Midnight Madness Halloween Tournament.

 

LPSA’s first U-12 Division 1 girls team attended a Halloween Tournament in Mandeville, La. On October 25 and 26.  The tournament was held at Mandeville’s beautiful sports complex Pelican Park.  The Twisters played teams from Houma  and  Madisonville in bracket play winning both matches with goalies Shannon French and Alexis Hay strutting their stuff and leading the team to 2 shutouts that left the girls as the # 1 seed in their division.

The semi-final match was a battle.  The girls played their best, but were ultimately beaten in the last 5 seconds of the game by 1 goal.

It wasn’t all soccer though.  The girls entered the face painting contest and played their very first night game under the lights.  A GREAT TIME was had by all. 

We would like to say thank you to Mandeville Soccer Club for hosting such a wonderful event.

Next weekend the girls will be in Houma for The Gobbler Cup.  We wish them luck.

Nice job girls.  We are proud of you.
